Allow events to change you

The quote above is from Bruce Mau's Incomplete Manifesto for Growth. He continues:

You have to be willing to grow. Growth is different from something that happens to you. You produce it. You live it. The prerequisites for growth: the openness to experience events and the willingness to be changed by them.



I could not say it any better. Growing is painful. As our joints and bones stretch out, we feel the pull. To grow is to be willing to embrace uncertainty and unknown territory.

That is pretty much how I feel emerging from the two year whirlwind Masters of Digital Media program. After immersing myself knee-deep in things I did not know much about when I started in the Fall of 2008, I am ready for a new challenge.

I am most interested in how the physical interacts with the digital. How people, organizations, and companies incorporate digital and social media to develop their brand, or to reach a new audience.
